CIR Announces Date For Teleconference On FTTx Components and Modules

July 24, 2006

Charlottesville, VA: CIR, a leading industry analyst firm based here, has announced a teleconference event to be held on Wednesday, August 9th that will analyze and project the merging opportunities for components and modules manufacturers in the burgeoning Fiber-To-The-X (FTTx) market. The conference will review the results of CIR’s latest report which covers FTTx components and modules markets.

Among the questions answered by the teleconference will be:

  • How big is the FTTx components market and how fast is it growing?

  • How are PON transceiver and splitter manufacturers distinguishing themselves in a market that is largely defined by international standards?

  • What components will be required for the next generation of PONs?

  • Are there significant opportunities for components manufacturers in FTTx environments other than PONs?

  • What is the future of PON electronics?

  • Why aren’t the largest component manufacturers involved in the FTTx buiness and will they eventually enter it?

Persons interested in registering for the event can do so here.
